United Way Adopt-A-School - Lafayette Parish

The United Way Adopt-A-School program creates, mobilizes and fosters a grassroots connection between schools and the business and private sectors of Lafayette Parish. The program provides a direct link between the community, work-world and the classroom.

Education is the cornerstone for success in school, work and life and it benefits the whole community. Through this effort, United Way of Acadiana connects businesses, organizations and individuals that have a vast amount of human resources, talents and other assets to schools that are interested in strengthening, enriching and enhancing the quality of education in Lafayette parish.

United Way of Acadiana and the Lafayette Parish School System value their relationship as community partners and collaboratively provides opportunities to engage communities in meaningful programs and volunteer experiences that support local education. Through this partnership, we engage corporate partners, nonprofits, churches, civic groups and individual volunteers in programs and activities that support teachers, administrators and students.

Home Bank has adopted Northside High School, and here's what they had to say about the partnership ...

"Our company is a community partner, and that means the entire community. We believe there should be no failing schools in Lafayette. We believe in Northside, and we’re excited to work with the passionate administrators and educators there to help the Class of 2015 and beyond."
