Great things happen when we unite people
and organizations with passion, expertise and resources to create more
opportunities for a better life.
That’s why UWA started the PACT United
(Plan of Action for Community Transformation) – a community-wide effort to help
more children graduate from high school, build financial stability in hard-working
families and help neighbors meet their own basic needs – in April 2008.
UWA’s 42 PACT partners are helping
create a more educated, prosperous and safe Acadiana where all
individuals and families achieve their potential. In fact, UWA is investing $1,375,296 annually in 25 organizations during the 2015-2017 grant cycle to make great things happen in Acadiana. These partners are creating new opportunities for the people of Acadiana in the following
Education: Helping children graduate from high school.
Earnings: Helping families and individuals become financially stable.
Essentials: Helping people meet their basic needs.
