Forty-one programs earned PACT United grant funding in 2013 to tackle the most urgent challenges facing the future of our communities. Three organizations receiving awards are new partners, creating new opportunities for the people of Acadiana in the following areas:
- Education: Helping children graduate from high school.
- Earnings: Helping families and individuals become financially stable.
- Essentials: Helping people meet their basic needs.
REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR 2013 ARE CLOSED.Organizations that submitted a proposal must have an IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt status,
outline programs that work with target populations to achieve long-term
goals identified and be able to demonstrate the ability to implement and
evaluate programmatic outcomes. Funding is open to all qualified
nonprofits. United Way of Acadiana launched the PACT United (Plan
of Action for Community Transformation), a community-wide effort to
help more children graduate from high school, build financial stability
in hard working families and help neighbors meet their own basic needs,
