Driven by Love Our Schools in partnership with United Way of Acadiana, A Community And Family Engagement Team works collaboratively with a school’s principal to help define a vision, goals, and an action plan for increasing community support of a K-12 school’s leadership, staff, and students. This principal-centered community support effort aims to add capacity to school leaders’ efforts and align with the school and the school district’s strategic plan and goals. Love Our Schools’ efforts in Lafayette Parish were inspired by and built from the model created by School Connect, which is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and works with schools in a number of states.
