we are women united

As an integral part of United Way, Women United® fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. We are a diverse, vibrant community, bound together by a powerful sense of belonging — to each other, to the organization’s mission, and to the communities we call home. Our powerful, global network of women leaders, over 70,000 strong, lives united against the most critical issues facing more than 165 communities in six countries.

We are excited to announce that applications for the first Women United microgrants, made possible by a generous gift from the George and Merilyn Crain Foundation, are now open. These grants represent women helping other women in our community and will be coupled with mentorship and financial education opportunities, aligning with United Way of Acadiana’s financial stability goals. All are encouraged to apply.

We Ignite Change

Thank you for supporting Women United. This year, any woman who contributes $100 or more to the 2021 United Way of Acadiana campaign will immediately be identified as Women United throughout the 2022 year.

Legacy giving levels will remain available with accompanying recognition in Women United programming and on our website. This will help us build the pipeline of Women United leaders and supporters of United Way of Acadiana’s mission as well as make the opportunity to participate in the work of Women United available to more in our community. Please see the options below to make your commitment for 2022 and continue your affiliation with United Way.
